Due to some recent local concerns that have been brought up in other local town groups, we have had a question submitted that is a sensitive subject, but none the less important. Please be cautious who is near you (children) as you read below.

1. How do you feel about registered s€x offenders being allowed to come and work at football games with the local fire department?
2. If you are ok with them being there and working the game, how are you going to ensure the safety of all the children who attend these games?
3. If said offender is allowed to come work the sporting events, does this mean said person is allowed access to the schools as well? If so, how are the kids going to be kept safe?

What are your thoughts on current sped services contracted with Three Lakes for the district?

How can we best serve all students?

Assuming the district has used Three Lakes for years, has anyone investigated the cost, potential benefit, and overall requirements of implementing a special education department in the district?

Good Morning everyone! Remember Friday the 13th does not have to be a bad thing! Make it amazing!

Main reason to be on here today:
Since we have not seen the video recording from the Forum that was held on Oct 9th in Carbondale, as it seems there may be some issues getting it, I would like to post any of the candidates speeches that would like to send them to me. I currently have 1 of the candidate speeches, which I will post shortly. As this is a completely impartial page built specifically to benefit the voters and their knowledge of each candidate, I would LOVE to be able to post EVERY candidates speech. As I was unable to attend in person, I have no idea what was said and who was there. I understand that some may not have had a speech, and may have just spoken, but if you are able to send something for me to post, I would be grateful. Everyone should have a fair shot, and everyone should be included.

Below I will tag everyone i need a speech or info from still. If you do not want to participate in this, I understand, but I would love to included everyone.

Mark your calendars for October 9, 2023, for the first Carbondale Candidate Forum at the Carbondale City Library.

Doors will open at 6:30 and the forum will begin at 7:00 pm

No Q&A will be allowed during the presentation time.

Questions will need to be pre-submitted through the drop box at city hall
or via the city website at www.carbondaleks.com/contact-us/ and will be randomly assigned to candidates by the forum moderator*
When you submit a question, please indicate if it is directed at a specific candidate.

Additionally, this forum will be directed towards candidate platforms and to allow the candidates to connect with citizens before the elections. It is not to address current/immediate issues as candidates will not be able to assist in resolving these issues until they are sworn in.

For current issues, all inquiries should be directed to the current city council and BOE and addressed at their respective meetings.

I have recently found out that there is a forum scheduled through the Carbondale city. It includes BOE candidates. As all of our schedules are all very full this time of year, let me know if this forum will work for you all.

I am currently making an Introduction doc for each candidate, and would love to have an intro for Madison Sowers & Justin Ramsdell (if you are running again). If any candidate has a website, I would be happy to include this. These docs will be listed on this page, as soon as I have all the info.

Included will be: their bio/intro (they wrote) and website if they have one. We all want to be the best informed voters we can be, for our kids and community.

*if someone can tag Madison and Justin, I would appreciate it please*

It has been asked if there is any interest in an IN PERSON public forum. To meet candidates, and ask questions.

Firstly, we need to see if the candidates would be willing to do so, which, at the moment, we have had 2 candidates agree. I would love to see if the other candidates are willing.

How many of our voting public would like to meet and ask questions?
