Our SUMP fundraiser at James River Brewery was a huge success! We cannot say a big enough thank you to the brewery for hosting us, to everyone who came out to support us, and to the amazing businesses of Scottsville for sponsoring us, including Amici's Italian Bistro, Baine's Scottsville, Baked on the James, Kit Makes a Mess, Lex Gibson, Matthew Holt - Realtor, Red Rose Pub, Scottsville Center for Arts and Nature, Scottsville Supply Company, and We Grow Shop VA. We have had the best time learning about animals in springtime. We learned about the life cycles of butterflies and frogs. We LOVED making frog habitats (complete with gooey pretend "frog spawn" to play in)! We also learned about migration and painted bird houses for the returning birds!
