Invention Education matters! Especially with students who do not enjoy school or struggle. It brings joy back into learning!
“Cultural relevance within invention education utilizes students’ backgrounds, lived experiences, and identities, acknowledged as assets, to add personal meaning and empowerment to inventive work.” (Researching Invention Education, 2026)
When students see their experiences reflected in the learning process, innovation becomes more meaningful, engaging, and impactful. Invention education empowers young people to bring their unique perspectives to problem-solving, creativity, and real-world innovation.
