It is very easy for most of us to identify some famous musical artist within a fraction of a second. However and surprisingly music has helped many others shape their lives as well, names you know but would never associate them with their hidden musical talents. EXAMPLE: Albert Einstein was an accomplished Cello musician and has stated that if not for his life and career in physics he would had be

en a musician. Condoleezza Rice was trained as a concert pianist. Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Reserve, was a professional clarinet and saxophone player. The hedge fund billionaire Bruce Kovner is a pianist who took classes at Juilliard. Paul Allen, the billionaire co-founder of Microsoft played the guitar. Woody Allen played the Clarinet. If you look carefully, you’ll find musicians at the top of almost any industry. Woody Allen used to perform weekly with a jazz band during his acting career. Multiple research link the study of music to academic achievement. But what is it about serious music training that seems to correlate with outside success in other fields? The suggested studies show that the focus, discipline, scheduling, and the love of music itself (being universal), and partaking in the activities where the person uses four of the six senses in their personal learning experiences are a few of the contributing factors leading to this particular outcome. I say four of the six senses because I include imagination. Imagination is very much needed by every musician young and old in developing their hidden talents.
