Wonderful progress in the world of translations!

To the Ends of the Earth: Bringing the Bible to Languages Never Before Reached Researchers at the Information Sciences Institute are developing technology that helps to streamline Bible translation.

A new film, 'Oppenheimer,' is just released, about the efforts to build a bomb during WWII. Another great figure of this time was Wernher von Braun (1912-1977), known as the 'Father of the American Space Program." Von Braun loved the Bible and said of it:
"In this age of space flight, when we use the modern tools of science to advance into new regions of human activity, the Bible -- this grandiose, stirring history of the gradual revelation and unfolding of the moral law -- remains in every way an up-to-date book. The guidelines of what we ought to do are furnished in the moral law of God. It is no longer enough that we pray that God may be with us on our side. We must learn to pray that we may be on God's side."
I love his quote about The Ten Commandments -- one more reason I hope you'll consider attending the upcoming Bible Study on Exodus, Part II (Chapters 20 - 40) where we will take a deep dive into this moral law than underpins Western Civilization.

Regardless of where you come down politically on Israel and Jerusalem in particular, today, Friday, May 19, is Jerusalem Day, where thousands of residents will be chanting Psalms, as they have done for 2000+ years over this ancient City of David that still stands as the center of so much of the world's attention.
