Hey Hairgirls, I wanted to come and inform you about using hairpins when styling loks. Lok styling is a great way to show versatility and personal style, just keep in mind that if you or your stylist are using hairpins to secure some of your styling options you should alternate your style choice each visit from a updo to maybe a braid or twisted down style that will make your loks wavy and free. I have noticed that in some cases using hair pins perforate you loks and can make them weak over time. I often suggest that my clients take down their style after two weeks. Also, be mindful of rubber bands and the black pony tail holders these too can cause some form of weakening you beautiful loks.

Don't get me wrong I will use these styling tools in order to accomplish a certain style but I am so careful not to compromise the integrity of my clients hair. I believe in Healthy Hair and the safest way to approach my hair styling methods. So I will explain the affects of styling choices and I am not afraid to say no to a styling option if it would compromise my clients hair health.
