The new 2022 ASE Guidelines for interventional TEE have coined several new views including two at the deep esophageal level (DE). They are most valuable for TV analysis and TriClip attachment. Foreshortening is always a problem when using retroflexion during a TEE exam due to image loss. Here is a technique for obtaining a non-foreshortened midesophageal four chamber view without using any retroflexion and thus retaining the image. www.echosim.com
