Today, the 8th grade choir and Mrs. Solod’s family surprised her with a beautiful song and flowers.
Mrs. Solod has been an incredible counselor at Cocopah Middle School for over 30 years, touching the lives of countless students, families, and staff members along the way. Her kindness, dedication, and support have made a lasting impact on the Cocopah community.
Thank you, Mrs. Solod, for everything you have done over the years. You will always be appreciated and remembered!

Last week marked the final GSA meeting led by Mrs. Langner. Since founding and sponsoring the club in 2018, she has helped create a welcoming and supportive community for countless students. Something we will always be incredibly proud of. Providing safe and inclusive spaces for all students remains one of our most important goals. Thank you, Mrs. Langner, for your dedication and impact!

Thursday, Cocopah’s Advanced Theater students performed 10 Ways to Ruin a Group Project!

This production was truly student-led from start to finish. Advanced Theater students researched multiple scripts, voted on their favorite, completed the purchasing process, directed the show, produced the performance, and designed all of the costumes themselves.

We are so proud of their creativity, teamwork, and dedication both on and off the stage.

Today, the 6th grade teachers held a short outdoor assembly where each teacher presented an SUSD Challenge Coin to a student who demonstrated kindness, determination, and a commitment to doing their best.

Congratulations to this year’s 6th grade Challenge Coin winners! We are proud of the positive example you set for others each day.

We are so proud of our talented student musicians for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding performances. Thank you to Ms. Irvin, Mr. Mireau, families, and community members for supporting our students and making the night so special.

Last week, Cocopah proudly inducted 91 new members into the National Junior Honor Society for the 2026–2027 school year. We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, leadership, character, citizenship, and commitment to academic excellence. Congratulations to all of our new NJHS members on this outstanding achievement!

Last night was a Springtime Serenade from the Cocopah Orchestra. What a wonderful performance.
