A huge thank-you to all of our Cocopah teachers and staff who participated in our secret, teacher-only Spirit Week! It was so much fun seeing everyone dress up, show their school spirit, and enjoy the week together. A special shout-out to Mr. Green for organizing such a fun event and bringing a little extra joy to our staff!

Now it’s time for STUDENT & STAFF Spirit Week! This week’s Spirit Week is sponsored by Cocopah STUCO and kicks off Tuesday! The theme for spirit week is "Hollywood".

🌟 Thursday: Dress as your celebrity look-alike

We are so proud of our Jazz Choir for taking the stage at the Arizona State Fair! Our students sounded fantastic and gained valuable real-world experience speaking and performing for a live audience.
After their performance, students had the opportunity to work with the sound engineer and learn how microphone placement shapes live sound, and how performers and engineers collaborate to create an amazing performance.

Our middle school orchestra students participated in the ABODA Fall Orchestra Festival at Highland High School!
Students performed three contrasting pieces for their peers and professional adjudicators, then worked directly with a clinician on the music they had just performed. The clinic focused on intonation, rhythm, articulation, and expression, giving students the opportunity to immediately apply professional feedback and hear their performance evolve in real time.
Experiences like this help young musicians become more independent listeners while developing a deeper understanding of their individual role in creating the sound of an ensemble.

The Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board has unanimously approved a resolution calling for a $375 million special bond election on November 3, 2026.

Attend a Community Informational Town Hall tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Chaparral High School from 6-7 p.m. to learn about the proposed investments.

The proposed bond program includes investments in:

• Learning Environment Improvements
• Technology Enhancements
• Site Lifecycle Renovations
• School Safety & Security
• Transportation
• Administrative Capital Improvements

*Bond funds may only be used for voter-approved capital projects and cannot be used for teacher salaries, employee benefits, or day-to-day operating expenses.

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Voter Registration Deadline: October 5, 2026
• Election Day: November 3, 2026

From the classroom to the ballpark! ⚾️⚾️

The choirs from Cocopah Middle School, Ingleside Middle School, Tonalea Middle School and Coronado High School took their talents to the big stage Wednesday night, performing the National Anthem at the Arizona Diamondbacks game! 🇺🇸

We’re so proud of these talented students for representing their schools and sharing their voices with the D-backs crowd!
