LIGHT Foundation Mentoring Academy

Our Story

L.I.G.H.T. Foundation Mentoring Academy, provides an Inspirational, Educational and Leadership experience. We are servant leaders facilitating a supportive and organized environment of listening and sharing without judgement, in order to raise awareness of the unlimited potential we all have inside ourselves. We Promote Self-Healing and Self-Love through Dance, Team Sports and Empowerment Workshops.

Our program promotes the appreciation for and practice of abstinence through distribution of age-appropriate, factual and medically-accurate materials. Through education, love and guidance we allow our young men and young ladies to make a conscious choice to abstain from sexual relationships during their teen years thus decreasing the statistics of teenage pregnancy, std’s among teenagers and unhealthy soul ties. The “Men of Honor” Rights of Passage program provides intentional self-esteem, self-confidence, purity and responsibility training for our young men followed by our signature Rights of Passage ceremony. Our “Virtues of Yashuah” Purity Ball program provides intentional etiquette, self-love, self-worth and purity training for our young ladies followed by our signature “Virtues of Yashuah” Purity Ball.

Children that participate in this program is assured that they are loved and not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges. Our presence and commitment makes them feel like they matter in this world. Research confirms that quality mentoring relationships have powerful and positive effects on youth in a variety of personal, academic, and professional situations. Ultimately, mentoring connects children and teens to not only personal growth & development but social & economic opportunity as well. Yet one in three children will grow up without this critical asset, "A Mentor".
