Today is our first Frozen Friday!

Celebrate the end of the week with a frozen treat from Sharky’s Shaved Ice! Join us after school today for dye-free shaved ice or an ice cream bar. Each treat is $5, and every purchase helps raise funds for Sonoran Sky.

A quick parking reminder: The school parking lots are closed from 2:45-3:30pm, so please park in the surrounding neighborhood and walk up with your kiddos to visit the Sharky’s truck.

Learning sounds has never been more fun! Students will practice rhyming, syllables, beginning and ending sounds, sight words, spelling, and decoding through games and hands-on activities. 🎲📚

A fun, creative, screen-free way to unwind! Students will color while listening to music, creating a relaxing and engaging experience that encourages focus, creativity, and self-expression. 🎶🌈

📖 AR CLUB

Open to 3rd–6th grade! Start the day with focused reading time in a calm and supportive environment. Students can read and/or take AR tests—perfect for book lovers, reluctant readers, or anyone with a busy after-school schedule! 📚✨

Let’s Fla-mingle! Sonoran Sky PTO’s Back-to-School Splash Party is TOMORROW afternoon!

Kick off the new school year with Sonoran Sky families at the Scottsdale Quarter Splash Pad! Reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy an afternoon of splash-filled fun. Prizes will be available for the first 25 attendees!

Families can continue the fun with dinner at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria (where 15% of purchases that day will be donated back to Sonoran Sky PTO when you mention the school) and then swing by Sweet Paris Creperie for dessert (where another 15% of purchases will be donated back when you mention the school and/or show the attached flyer).

Please note that personal splash toys and snacks are permitted, but cooler cooperation is appreciated.

The new school year is underway, and we've got this month's breakfast and lunch menu to help you plan ahead! Breakfast is $1.00 and lunch is $2.50 for elementary students.

Welcome Back, Sonoran Sky Teachers and Staff!

What an exciting week of preparing for an incredible school year!

We kicked things off with a wonderful Curriculum Night for our Kindergarten students and our newest pre-K Little Scholars families. It was so exciting to meet the parents of our newest Thunderbirds getting ready for their Sonoran Sky journey!

This week…
… PTO welcomed our incredible teachers and staff back with Einstein Bros. Bagels at their first staff meeting of the year.
… Our SSKy teachers enjoyed a special Lakeshore Learning shopping event to stock up on classroom essentials.
… Our 2026–2027 teacher and staff shirts were handed out—we can’t wait to see everyone wearing them around campus!
… Our amazing PTO volunteers sorted and delivered hundreds of EduKits to classrooms. If you ordered one, it’ll be waiting in your child’s classroom at Meet the Teacher on Monday.
… And our volunteers also put the finishing touches on PTO Round-Up—we’re ready to welcome our Sonoran Sky families!
