You crossed the starting line. Now what?
B'nai mitzvah marks the moment you become responsible for your own Jewish life. That's not an ending, it's an invitation. To ask harder questions. To find your own answers. To figure out what Judaism actually means to you.
That's exactly what Hebrew High was built for. And this fall, we're opening the door even earlier: 8th grade is joining the journey.
Because Jewish learning doesn't stop growing. Neither should you.

Have you heard? Something new is coming to Hebrew High this fall!
We're bringing 8th grade into the journey because b'nai mitzvah is the starting line, not the finish line. Hebrew High is where Jewish learning grows up.

Because b'nai mitzvah is a beginning and not a finish line, Hebrew High is here for what comes next! More learning, more community, one year earlier.

We are excited to share that Hebrew High now enrolls students starting in 8th grade!

Registration is open for grades 8–12: register.hhphx.org

Congratulations to our 2026 Hebrew High graduates!
We send our thanks to the students, families, and teachers who gathered to celebrate these seniors and send them off with so much love as they head into what’s next. It was especially moving to stand together while parents held the corners of the tallit and our teachers offered blessings.
And the word we kept coming back to all night? Mensch. Every single one of them.
We are so proud of you, Hebrew High grads! 💙

Our amazing leader, Myra Shindler, joins the dance to celebrate Yom HaAtzmaut! We can wait to see the joy she brings at the Bureau of Jewish Education’s gala on May 3!

Congratulations to this incredible group of Phoenix teens, recognized at the community Yom HaAtzmaut celebration as community Torch Lighters! We’re especially proud of Hebrew High senior, Aleyna Lange, for lighting the way!

Hebrew High commemorated Yom HaZikaron by welcoming two Israeli soldiers to our community last night. We give thanks to our colleagues at , especially , for making this visit possible.

Our students came prepared with thoughtful questions and rose to the moment with even more. In return, our guests - both in their early 20s - shared generously of themselves: their personal stories, their perspectives on complex topics like war, politics, religion, gender equality, and mental health, and their hopes for the future.

Just a few years older than our seniors, their presence made the distance between “here” and “there” feel smaller, and the stakes feel real. We’re grateful for the chance to learn from them, to listen closely, and to strengthen the sense of connection and responsibility that binds our communities.

How do you know what you know until you actually have to use it?
Last night, our Intermediate & Advanced Hebrew students put their Hebrew to the test out in the real world! Thanks so much to for generously hosting our students.
And because our teachers are beyond amazing, the entire menu was redesigned in Hebrew. No English safety net here! Just figuring it out in real time with delicious results.

You could say they really dug into their learning… and came back for seconds.
Or that they didn’t just study Hebrew - they took a bite out of it.

(We’ll see ourselves out. Shabbat Shalom!)
