curriculum that encompasses studies in Yoga philosophy and history, biomechanics, anatomy, detailed postural alignment, therapeutics, and the art of teaching Yoga. Key areas of instruction that are taught in SCC's Yoga Program are principles of the breath, meditation, postural sequencing, observation, verbal and physical adjustments, postural demonstration, use of voice, and organization of course curriculum. Our program emphasizes logical sequencing with clear instruction and demonstrations. Students graduate with a strong foundation in the art of teaching, which include lesson planning, sequencing, alignment, therapeutics, and observation. In its overall curriculum, SCC Yoga includes a wide range of classes that accommodate students of all physical ability and level of yoga experience. Beginning students, children and seniors, expectant mothers, students with therapeutic limitations, and advanced yoga students can all find classes to appropriately suit them.
