Turning the negative into a positive. Private math tutoring by a certified & experienced teacher. Hi, I’m Heather Johnson!

I’m passionate about helping students succeed in math while also supporting their emotional well-being and self-confidence. With over 15 years of teaching experience in both public and private schools, and as a Certified Teacher in the State of Colorado, I bring a wealth of knowledge and care to every session. Now living in the beautiful desert of North Scottsdale, my goal is to meet each student where they are while adapting to their unique learning style so that math feels clear, engaging, and encouraging in a safe and supportive environment.

Flexible scheduling available for today's busy students. My preference is to meet in-person, but online tutoring is also an option.

Rock Your School Day 10/2023. Students worked in teams to solidify knowledge of percent word problems in a fun, uplifting environment. Curriculum was co-created with my 7th grade teaching partner and modified for differentiated learning.

One-on-one tutor students receive dedicated adaptation to their unique learning style, meet their individial goals, and feel confident in their growth and abilities.
