🎨 Don't Miss the Senior IB Art Exhibition & Reception! 🎨

Join us as we honor the artwork of Senior IB artists.

The IB Art Exhibition kicks off next Monday, March 30th and runs through April 13th.

All are invited to the Opening Reception next Monday, March 30th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, and the exhibition will be running during school hours through April 13th.

To attend either, please park in the lot at the north entrance of the school and check in through the front office. Hope to see you there!

☕ Don't forget to stop by Trailhead Coffee (inside McDowell Church) at 10700 N. 124th St. this Friday, March 6th after morning school drop-off and chat with members of the IBPA board.

Visit, ask questions, and learn more about the IB Parents Association and IB program at Desert Mountain. Meet other Desert Mountain families and share your experiences with us. We hope to see you there! ☕

The IB Ball is right around the corner on Saturday, 2/21, at 7 pm!

PLEASE NOTE:

✨Tickets must be purchased in the DM bookstore by Thursday, 2/19.

✨We're still looking for event chaperones. Chaperones will take tickets at the door, help refill the dessert buffet, and handle other tasks to make sure the event runs smoothly. If you'd like to volunteer, please contact your IBPA board at [email protected].

✨Don't forget: When purchasing tickets, please list the names of all student ticket holders and their year at DM. Each ticket must have a name associated with it when purchased. Students outside the IB program at DMHS are welcome to join as a plus-one! If your student wishes to bring someone who does not go to DMHS, they need to see Mr. Sheh to fill out an authorization form.

The annual IB Recognition Event will be held on May 15, 2026, at 6 pm in the DM Auditorium.

The ceremony will acknowledge the graduating Seniors as well as others in the Desert Mountain IB community and includes a flag ceremony featuring MYP Freshmen, musical performances, an IB art gallery, and more.

All those supporting our IB community are welcome, so please save the date!

Save the date for the IBPA family-friendly mixer and fundraiser on December 2nd at Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers on Shea and 116th Street in Scottsdale! Here's the scoop on different ways to participate:

*Dine in or carry out any time from 4 pm until close. Just mention the Desert Mountain IBPA to your server and the IBPA will receive a portion of proceeds. No RSVP is required for dine-in or carry-out.

*From 5:30 to 7:00 p.m, enjoy an informal mixer with the IBPA and other IB families. A selection of lite bites sponsored by the IBPA will be served. All other menu and beverage items will be offered for sale, with a portion of proceeds benefitting the IBPA! Space at the mixer is limited to 60 people and RSVP is required.

IB students in their Junior and Senior years are expected to earn and log hours reflecting Creativity, Activity, and Service. This virtual evening event is a great time to get all your questions answered. IDEAL for families of Sophomores and Juniors!
