Lynne Pflueger's Memorial
It was a beautiful clear sunshiny day.
The main hall in the clubhouse is rather dark but one side of the room has doorways to an adjacent room
with a window-lined wall. The view there takes you to trees and the golf course greens. We decided to arrange
the chairs in a horseshoe pattern, facing towards the windows and two beautiful tall flower arrangements.
We were about 80 people, give or take. Mostly northern California, but Scottsdale, Salt Lake City, Denver
and southern California were present too. From the beginning, the energy was one of sincerity, love, gratitude and
support.
We decided to keep it simple. There wasn't a program; rather everyone was invited to share a memory or a teaching.
To make it easy for everyone, we suggested that the person who shared would get up from their chair but stay put.
That didn't work at all…! Almost everyone came up to the front to share; it was natural and felt right and it was beautiful
in the way it happened.
Many shared. There was a feeling of caring and of community - expressing deep respect to Lynne and the beautiful
Being she was, and helping each other come to terms with her sudden death. There were tears and laughter.
And all of it heartfelt. We heard stories of her teachings, her importance to some of us, her courage and her love for animals.
It all, of course, came back, again and again, to her magic - to keep it simple. Lynne was the 'Empress of Simplicity' (Cynthia Broshi)
and she allowed 'life to happen'. Lynne kept it real.
Afterwards the energy was light. People would eat - we had a lot of food - and visit with each other.
All in all it was simple …and so much more, and I believe Lynne would have liked it.
I would like to deeply thank everyone for coming, especially those from further away.
Thank you to all of you who shared stories, memories.
Thank you David, Jill and Michael for sharing…and Cynthia and Philomena for sending a note to be read.
Thank you Tom and Chris Pflueger and their families for being part of the memorial and for your sharing.
The memorial would not have been the same without you.
Thank you all for your generous donations (monetary and help wise). Special thanks to those who weren't able
to come but pitched in anyways.
$1077.- will be donated in Lynne's honor to the Guide Dogs for the Blind.
With gratitude,
Juliane Barner

Home Jin Shin Jyutsu 100 Jahre Jubiläum
On the evening of Saturday May 19th in Scottsdale, AZ, students and friends of Jin Shin Jyutsu joined with David Burmeister, Wayne Hackett, Muriel Carlton, Sara Harper and Scottsdale Office staff to celebrate 100yrs of Jin Shin Jyutsu.
The event began with long time JSJ student and Organizer, Mary Shealy, presenting David Burmeister with a beautiful quilt that she had designed and quilted to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of Jin Shin Jyutsu. The quilt represents the Order of transformation of the pulses and on page 2 you will find a fuller description and more photos.
Initially the quilt will find its home on a wall in the headquarters of Jin Shin Jyutsu, in Scottsdale. A very fitting tribute to the many years of transformation that have taken place within these walls, beginning with the days when another Mary, our beloved founder Mary Burmeister, treated thousands of clients from around the globe.
Come visit us and view!
With love
