From SUSD student to Arizona news anchor, Jaime Cerreta has built a career connecting with people across her home state. 🎥🎙️

Jaime attended Cherokee Elementary, Cocopah Middle School and Chaparral High School before beginning her career in journalism. Today, she is a news anchor at Arizona’s Family, where she shares stories with viewers across Arizona.

As SUSD celebrates 130 years of learning, we’re proud to recognize alumni like Jaime who got their start in our schools and continue to make an impact in the community they call home.

Our Chaparral Special Education team enjoyed a fun and meaningful field trip day at Costco! They picked up supplies for the department, worked together through a scavenger hunt, enjoyed lunch, and took part in lots of sensory activities and experiences.

A huge thank you to the amazing Costco team, especially Terry and Marissa on the Raintree team, for welcoming our Firebirds and making the day so special! We appreciate your kindness, generosity, and partnership with Chaparral. 🧡🔥
