Prevention Is Great: Intervention Is Okay - Healers Magazine 03/26/2020

As it would turn out, my education is really helping these days, although, not monetarily! 😂

Due to all that is occurring at this time, I feel the need to step up, be more vocal and help in ways I know how.

First, Don’t watch or buy into the mainstream media! (atleast excessively) It is often a tool for fearmongering. Fear causes stress and stress lowers your immune system.

Things you can do to relax, boost your immune system, and stay healthy:

- Breathe Deeply! There’s a variety of ways to do do breathework (A.K.A Pranayama). Please message me if you need tips on where to start a breathe practice.
- There’s also some great info on breathework from Whim Hoff. He has excellent resources available about breathework. Through deep breathing, which has been scientifically proven, you can up your white cell count which are friends of your immune system.
- Meditate (sit with your thoughts) and check in with your body!
- Practice your faith, whatever it is! Praying or meditating on a subject, and in groups, is powerful work.
- Stay grounded! There is science behind grounding to Earths surface. It gives the body much needed electrons.
- Don’t panic because officials or celebrities get a Coronavirus. We idolize them, but they are human like you or me. They are not invincible .
- Focus on keeping a routine and being active, 30 mins+ a day! That means asana, an at home workout, or an offbeat nature trail run. Get creative!
- Avoid sugar, as sugar lowers the immune system
- Eat meat only if it has Vitamin D, as meat is difficult to digest and takes more energy
- Eat more veggies! VitaminsC, D, B’s, Beta Carotene, and Zinc are all great for the immune system and they’re packed into veggies!
- Grow a garden! A garden means your self sufficiency, and that you aren’t reliant wholly on supermarkets where a contagion could easily spread. You can involve a family, and watch the fruits of your labor grow! Plus, dirt is fun!

Exciting News! 😁

Happy to announce that Next Sunday, the 27th at 8am I'll be hosting my first privately led group class at Compound Fitness ! I've taught for big, BIG classes before but now the opportunity has provided itself to check into the subtleties of it all.


The class will be an intention based class coupled with breathing techniques, lots of asana, and of course savasana & meditation. 💦 You'll build strength as well as flexibility. Perhaps we'll even make it into handstands. 😉


As it's my first privately led class, I am seeking no payment unless in the form of a donation. So please, come join me! While we have a couple mats, I recommend you bring your own. 😁

I'm incredibly grateful to the community of Tempe and for allowing me to host last nights Yogic practice. It's a blast every time! 🔥 and how awesome is it that it was also two kiddos 8th birthday? Hence, the party hat 🎉


After last night, I'm reminded again of the importance of guiding with correct and proper wording, and as I do not wish to cause harm, this is fundamental in a practice for this many people. It's difficult to give ones full attention to just one student when there's roughly 100 moving bodies ! It seems that as a teacher, I learn more than I ever did as a student.
