Jaxxon shared his mom with us today, and we had the BEST hands-on learning experience! His parents sell clock parts and generously shared their materials with our class so that every student could create their very own clock.
Our little engineers started with a clock face and then got to design, build, and personalize their clocks to take home. Watching their creativity (and problem-solving!) come to life was so much fun! ❤️
A HUGE thank you to Jaxxon’s mom for sharing this special experience with us, and to Makena and Sebastian’s moms for helping our little clockmakers along the way! We couldn’t have done it without you!

First grade had a pumpkin-filled day! We were so excited to welcome Arizona Agriculture to our classroom to learn all about the life cycle of a pumpkin. From seed to sprout to pumpkin, our students loved learning how these fall favorites grow! 🎃

We were so lucky to have Kalliope share her mom with Mrs. Tancos’ class! 💙🇬🇷
As we continue learning about Ancient Greece, Kalliope’s mom came in to share her knowledge of Greek history and culture with us. She even brought some traditional Greek foods for the students to taste!
It was such a fun and meaningful way to bring our learning to life. A huge thank you to Kalliope and her mom for sharing their time, knowledge, and a little taste of Greece with us! 🇬🇷✨

🐻🥣 Mrs. Youngkin’s Kinderlos had a “BEARY” fun time learning with Goldilocks and the Three Bears!
We counted bears in the tree, created a porridge recipe, tasted porridge, and graphed who liked it! 📊 We also used storyboards to retell the story and made our very own books!
A little storytelling, a little taste-testing, and a whole lot of learning—it was all “just right”!
