One of the biggest mistakes riders make during recruiting is assuming the “best” school is the same for everyone.

But the reality is that finding the right fit goes far beyond rankings, logos, or social media highlights.

Team culture, coaching style, campus environment, academics, roster dynamics, development opportunities, and even location all play a role in whether a program is truly the right place for you.

The goal isn’t just to ride in college.
It’s to find a school where you can grow, succeed, and genuinely love your experience — both as an athlete and as a person.

The scholarship side of college equestrian can feel really confusing if you do not understand how programs actually distribute funding across their teams.

This is something we see families misunderstand all the time, and it can completely change expectations throughout the recruiting process.
