ASU Gammage High School Musical Theatre Awards happened last night and Chaparral Theatre’s Hadestown: Teen Edition won 3 awards:

Huge congratulations to the cast and crew for winning BEST MUSICAL, Katerina Anderson for winning BEST VOCALIST, and Lexi Rohl, Shane Danielson, Caroline Tefft for winning BEST SET AND PROPS!

The ASU Gammage High School Musical Theatre Awards (HSMTA) recognizes and celebrates Valley high school students and faculty that produce musical theatre programs. Chaparral High School has been nominated for multiple awards and will be performing a medley from its spring production of Hadestown: Teen Edition at this year’s High School Musical Theatre Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.

Senior showcase is coming up next week on Wednesday, May 13th! Come support Chap Theatre seniors for the last time while they show off their talent! This event is totally free so make sure to stop on by! 🤗

That’s a wrap on Chaparral Theatre’s first ever fully student-led 24 Hour Musical! Beetlejuice Jr. was a hit! From casting to rehearsals to production, the students led it all! Huge congratulations to the cast and crew on an incredible show! Bravo!👏🏼
