I DID A THING!!!!
NYC Marathon Finisher!!!
Probably the last time I toe the line(pun-read on for reference) at that distance however, what a way to exit!!!
Thank you to ALL the New Yorkers who came out to watch and cheer us on as we flooded your streets! YOU ALL MAKE THIS RACE SPECIAL! Every step was filled with encouraging words.
I felt as though they were actually cheering for me…I didn’t see Ashton Kutcher however I saw someone way more special:: Dr. Tommy Rivers Puzey, DPT. He was doing what he loves! Congratulations to his finish and inspiration for so many..
Since the woman near me; her name was Kristine, she placed her name on her shirt, which brought loads of cheers and encouragement.
I choose to change my name for the day!😉
By far the slowest 26.2 I’ve finished. With or without a swim and a bike before.
Fastest 3:12
Yesterday 5:04
.Toe the line…
All I can say it to protect your feet and toes throughout your life.
I dropped a 150Lb desk on my toe, and shattered it. 😳
Nerve damage is no joke.
It was ‘white out’ pain when it happened. As in, you see ‘white’ for an unknown amount of time.
The bone has remodeled, however the damage was done.
Although I’ve BQ’d 2x before, I’ve never raced there.. not sure I’ll be able to BQ again, however if I’m crazy enough to do the distance again,,,,, I think a nerve numbing injection might be a good call as would some more miles under the belt..
Congratulations to all finishers!
