This week was more inside than outside. We nourished 4 different indoor environments this week. While we thrived indoors we also made time to connect with the earth. Families came together early morning AND later evening all in the same week. Oh how I’m grateful for such a nourishingly diverse life 💕
Our Wizard Camp returned this summer by popular demand. I love adding a little something different each time. We worked with plants, played some group games, practiced whittling and immersed in creativity. If you missed out, don’t worry! We will bring back the magic in the fall.

Whoa! This week was bountiful. Bountiful in animals-frogs,tadpoles,minnows, birds of prey and rescued kittens. We surrendered to the summer heat yet ended the week on a wonderful cloudy day.

A few weeks ago I decided I would let the indoor crew decide what our topics of interest would be. We landed on Pokémon Meets Nature this month. While I don’t know much about Pokemon, I have used this opportunity to allow them to teach me. I model inferencing when I share my ladybug knowledge while they share their knowledge about the ladyba. Today we learned to have compassionate disagreements when we mixed insect types with plant types to battle. Yes- I was informed that most plants and bugs are in the same “species” of leaf Pokemon. Nonetheless, they learned how environment, weather and injury could impact the every day species we see. Our Pokemon debates weren’t about winning, it was leaning in to hear other people’s perspective. By the end there were no teams, simply celebrating when someone shifted their perspective based on the point of view the opponents were sharing.
