We hosted our first True North Town Hall last week, and these two students took their greeter job very seriously! Parents learned all about our new robotics program, committee involvement and how School Tuition Organizations (STOs) can help fully fund their child’s education 🤓

Tuesdays are Cooking days at True North! Today Ms. Alisa took the kids to Holland with a Dutch dish called Stamppot🍴Each week these chefs-in-training make a new meal completely from scratch. We are learning kitchen skills and expanding our palates! 👩🍳🧑🏽🍳

Happy Teacher’s Appreciation Week to our amazing and loving teachers! True North Academy is so lucky to have the most dedicated and caring teachers! They go above and beyond everyday to ensure each child is loved, seen, cared for emotionally and academically!
Being a micro school it allows our teachers to be more present, available, flexible with each child and their needs! Meeting the kids at their level makes all the difference!
We are so thankful for the beautiful and safe environment the teachers work so hard to create!

Happy Earth Day from True North Academy!
There are endless ways to help take care of our planet, here are a few small ways that each and everyone of us can help everyday:

🌱 Recycle technology
We would like to thank Westech Recyclers for their recent donation of refurbished Chromebooks to our school! If you have any technology that you are no longer using and would like to donate please visit their site to learn more and set up a pick up or drop off! By recycling electronic waste and keeping it out of our landfills, Westech not only helps protect our planet but also helps out people in need!

Hearing first hand thoughts on our school and the progress students are making- not only at school but how it reflects in life, makes our day!
We love seeing each child grow and bloom in the classroom personally. Hearing from our families how our students are taking their confidence and skills they are learning in the classroom out into the world makes what we do mean so much more!

What do microschools have in common? They are designed to be small. Schools may have a range of 5-150 students enrolled. Class sizes are small with 5-12 students per teacher. Students within multiple grades learn together in the same class and instruction is personalized or individualized for each student.
