Do you know how our Youth Saxophone Quartets started? It all began with a generous donation from our local Kiwanis Club! Their support allowed us to purchase a full suite of specialty saxophones- including soprano, tenor, and baritone- opening up a world of small chamber music that few young players get to experience. From those founding moments, our High School Saxophone Quartet has grown into an incredible ensemble performing 8-10 times a year across Scottsdale, Carefree, and Cave Creek. Now we are thrilled to expand this opportunity to younger musicians! We’re launching a new Elementary Saxophone Quartet for Grades 5-8, led by Desert Hills Presbyterian Church Music Director Jeffery Anthony (M. M. In Saxophone Performance). Playing in a small chamber group build confidence, listening skills, and teamwork in a way large bands or solo study just can’t match- plus, students get unique access to specialty instruments! We are currently looking for 1-2 more saxophonists in Grades 5-8 to join our founding group this Fall. Reserve your spot by visiting our website or find the link in our bio.
