We are so proud of Desert Mountain High School’s Ayva Kacir, one of just 20 high school seniors in the entire nation to be named a 2022 U.S. Presidential Scholar in Career and Technical Education (CTE)! Ayva has used the leadership skills she has learned in the school’s CTE Marketing classes to help guide the school’s highly successful DECA business leadership club and be a top member of SUSD’s Class of 2022. Desert Mountain’s tennis ‘sister act’ of Analise (L) and Tessa Wachtel (R) won 2nd place in the AIA Division I state doubles championship on Monday. The #1 Wolves take on the #4 Chaparral Firebirds Friday afternoon at Scottsdale Ranch Park in the semifinals of state team championship play. State singles runner-up Savanna Kollock (L) will be back in action, too, for Desert Mountain.

Scottsdale schools have a strong foundation. The first bond vote was May 1, 1909. All 14 votes were in favor of the $5,000 bond to build a new schoolhouse and supply furniture.
