Things I learned and re-learned traveling to Coatia 🇭🇷

Croatian beaches are all rocks and pebbles and cliffs, beach pads and sturdy 🩴 are 🔑
Pack light 🧳 - checking a bag is calamitous - and having a lot to carry is very hard because there are no ramps on and off planes etc and hotels too are older buildings with tons of stairs, lots of cobble stone walking, you have to be able to carry your luggage around & up and down stairs constantly.
If you are macros conscious like meeee - bring protein supplements and snacks, protein bars in Europe are mostly garbage, there is no protein powder, & it’s hard to mind your meals, lunch meat is horrifying here like Zombie 🧟 spam, I packed 1000 grams supplementally for 10 days and it’s all gone & my abs are intact 🤘😝
Tipping 💸 - just a little is good & fine, touristy places try to work you, but don’t abide that pressure, 5% is totally fair 10% is very generous.
The second they say “it’s is x euro but FOR YOU it is Y euro” please know you can get another 5 - 10 euro off lol, the pricing is dynamic 😉
In Croatia when they say prawns they mean the tiniest shrimps, when they say shrimps they means PRAWNS. 🦐
The blue mnm’s are 🔥, we don’t have these in USA.
Look for Michelin guide 🍽️ restaurants for great chefy food, otherwise all the food is the same, good and simple and fresh, but the same.
In Hvar - rent scooters 🛵 or quads or side by sides, it’s a bomb way to move around the island.
Eat at Hvar Brewing Co., it’a very farm to table vegetable forward and genuinely delicious.
For chic beach & lunch take water taxi to Toto’s
In Trogir - go to the open air market and eat the figs, fresh dry eat them all, this is Dalmatia!
Take water-bus to Copacabana beach and get daybeds, they will try to sell yo hard but know you can get them 2 for 40 euro and if you press like I did 2 for 30 euro 🤣, it’s not chic but it’s comfy easy and pleasant.
Eat at Franka. You must. Michelin guide didn’t lie.
Chargers - many hotels don’t have usb and the plugs 🔌 are different getting a plug right away can be key.
AMEX - they don’t take it in lots of places in Europe make sure to have cash or visa.
