🥚📚 Humpty Dumpty STEM Challenge! 🧱✨

Our 1st graders had fun retelling Humpty Dumpty before reading After the Fall: How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again by Dan Santat. They discovered how a determined egg found his courage and learned to soar! 💛

Then it was their turn to put their building skills to the test by building Humpty’s wall and helping him balance on top! What a fun way to combine reading, creativity, and STEM! 🥚🧱👏

Our kindergarteners practiced identifying letters and their sounds and finding rhyming words this week in the library! 🔤🎶

After reading the silly and fun Silly Sally by Audrey Wood, they used bendable Wikki Stix to create their own letters. What a smart bunch of little learners! 💡❤️📚

🌈📚 Dolly Parton Week in the Library! 📚🌈

We’re celebrating the life of the sweet and inspiring Dolly Parton! Students are learning about her childhood, the many kind things she has done throughout her life, and the special meaning behind her famous “Coat of Many Colors”—made with love by her mama, using rags and scraps of cloth. ❤️

Students are creating their own colorful coats out of scraps of paper and filling them with facts they’ve learned about this truly special lady! 🌈✨

What a wonderful week of kindness, creativity, and learning! 💕📖

Students in 2nd–5th grade celebrated Dot Day by reading Say Something by Peter Reynolds, who also wrote The Dot. 📚

Students were challenged to think about what they would like to say to the world and use their voices to make a difference. 💬🌎❤️ Our students certainly have a lot of great things to say!

Our Pre-Kindergarteners made their own rainbows in the library! 🌈

📚The students listened to and discussed the book "What Makes a Rainbow?", helping to identify all the vibrant colors on each page.

After the story, they put their skills to work by sorting color tiles into groups. They did an amazing job recognizing colors and working as a team to group them! 🎨✨

🏗️ Future architects and engineers in the making! 🏗️

📚Our fourth graders read "Rosie Revere, Engineer" and learned that big ideas take teamwork. 🤲
After discussing how adults collaborate to build everything from schools to airports, they put their own teamwork skills to the test! 👐

The students worked together to build a cup tower using only shared strings, proving that communication and cooperation are the keys to success.

Teamwork at its finest! 🌟

🐐🌉 Trip, Trap, Trip, Trap! 🌉🐐

Our SECOND GRADERS brought The Three Billy Goats Gruff to life in the library! 📚 After reading the story, students were asked to design and build a bridge over a pond for animals to cross. 🏗️🌊

Each student chose an animal and tested their bridge to see if it could make it safely across. 🐸🐻🦊🐘

We had some creative designs, lots of problem-solving, and plenty of trip-trapping fun! 👏💡
