It's that time of the year!
ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE BACK TO THE LIBRARY by Wednesday, April 22nd.

If 100% of the books from your child's homeroom are returned (or lost fees are paid) by Wednesday, the class will be entered into a drawing for an extra library class of "fun centers" AND an ice cream party.

Get those books in! :)

Wacky Wednesday fun! 🤪🎉

Students and teachers showed their school spirit by rocking mismatched outfits, backwards clothes, and the wildest patterns you can imagine. From inside-out shirts to stripes and polka dots, creativity was everywhere! What a great day full of laughs, school spirit, and wacky style! 👕🧦🎈

"Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one." -Dr. Seuss 🎉📚😊👏

After reading our favorite Dr. Seuss books and learning about the life of the famous author and illustrator, we reviewed our knowledge of patterns to make the famous red and white hat from "The Cat in the Hat".
Students also participated in a "Book Walk", much like a traditional cake walk, getting to enjoy even more Dr. Seuss books, with a little music and movement.

Dinosaur Week in the library was a ton of fun!!
Students in all grades studied dinosaurs through many fiction and nonfiction books. After reading and a lot of discussion, students got to experience different dinosaur stations.

Stations included drawing dinosaurs using stencils, building replicas of dinosaurs using Q-tips for dinosaur bones, reading dinosaur books, and making dinosaurs with pattern blocks.

Students have enjoyed RIF (Reading is Fundamental) Week in the library!

Each student received another book provided by a grant, which is funded by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. This program enables children to select new, age-appropriate books to take home and own.

During RIF week, students participated in fun games, stations, and a prize contest. What a great week!

5th Graders analyzed the works of author Andrea Beaty. After reading one of her books, "Rosie Revere, Engineer", students were asked to complete a group STEM challenge of building the tallest tower, using spaghetti noodles and mini marshmallows. The tower-building techniques of the groups were mind-blowing! Engineering at its finest!

Third graders enjoyed getting to know author Andrea Beaty and reading her book, "Iggy Peck, Architect".

🌉Students became architects by working together to design a bridge built of Legos and one sheet of paper. The challenge was to see which bridge could hold the most people (plastic bears). We found out that the more folds we made in our paper, the sturdier the bridge floor.

Our third graders make great architects!
