Western Nebraska Community College Softball The official page of the WNCC Cougar softball team. Medina is originally from Ft.

Courtney Medina, who played for the Cougars in 2015 and 2016 and was an assistant coach in 2019, returns to WNCC as the head coach beginning in 2022. Collins, Colorado, and played two years at WNCC before playing two years at Lubbock Christian University.

“I chose WNCC because it gives me the opportunity to continue playing softball while also focusing on my education. Softball is a big part of my life, and I wanted a school where I could grow as both an athlete and a student. I also liked the environment, the program, and the opportunities WNCC offers for my future studies and career goals. Another big reason was the trust and confidence I felt with the coach. “The team was really nice and inviting but still worked hard on the field which is important to me. It felt like I clicked pretty well with the team and the coaching.
