WNCC Adult Education

WNCC Adult Education Earning a GED means many things to our students. Whatever your motivations are, we support you in that endeavor! All of our programs are 100% free!

It’s the greater possibility of earning a job, a ticket into gaining admission to college, or even just a sense of accomplishment and pride. WNCC Adult Education has 3 programs: Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education and English as a Second Language. We serve the Panhandle of Nebraska, we have classes in Alliance, Chadron, Gordon, Kimball, Scottsbluff and Sidney. More about our programs: Adult Basic Education- The ABE program is designed for individuals who already have their high school diploma but want to improve basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, as well as soft skills such as self-motivation, problem solving, creative thinking and time management. Adult Secondary Education-Our ASE program is for those individuals wanting to earn their GED diploma. We will prepare you for the GED exams in: Science, Social Studies, Reasoning through Language Arts and Mathematics. Plus, career readiness skills such as building a resume and interview skills through our partnership with Nebraska Department of Labor. Earning your GED can mean greater opportunities in employment, gain college admission, or even just a sense of accomplishment and pride. English as a Second Language- Our ESL program helps individuals navigate within a society in which English is the dominate language. Our focus is helping adult students learn, or improve English literacy skills such as speaking, reading, and writing. ESL also helps our students gain the necessary occupational skills needed for employment. The program is tailored to meet your needs based on your abilities, skills, and goals. Inglés como Segunda Idioma (ESL) Nuestro programa de ESL ayuda personas navegar dentro una sociedad donde inglés es el idioma dominante. Nuestro enfoque es ayudar los estudiantes adultos aprender o mejorar las habilidades de leer y escribir en inglés, como hablar, leer y escribir. ESL también ayuda a nuestros estudiantes obtener las habilidades ocupacionales necesarias para el empleo.
