Did you know your pet could benefit from acupuncture?
At Coast Veterinary Services, we offer acupuncture as part of our integrative approach to pet health combining the best of modern medicine with trusted complementary therapies.
Veterinary acupuncture is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and used in rehabilitation to help with:
Pain relief — especially for pets with arthritis, injuries, or post-surgical recovery
Nerve regeneration — supporting pets with neurological conditions
Performance & endurance — helping active and working animals feel their best
We use a variety of techniques including dry needle acupuncture, electroacupuncture and laser acupuncture. All are tailored to your pet’s individual needs.
We believe every pet deserves a complete healthcare approach and that means treating the whole animal, not just the symptoms.

What our clients are saying…
“I can’t say enough about the exceptional service we received at Coast Vet. From the initial appointment scheduling to being greeted by the front desk, the staff was friendly and efficient. The vet tech, Anna, obviously loves her job. She was kind and patient with our less than thrilled to be there pup. Dr. Douglas was top notch in his knowledge and his ability to explain the options and procedures required for treating our dog. He was there to meet up with us after treatment with further explanation as to how the procedure went. We appreciated that immensely. All in all, Coast Vet is worth every minute of sitting in traffic on our journey back to south county. Wouldn’t think of trusting our baby with any other veterinary clinic. Job well done!” - Allison W.
Thank you Allison for your kind words and willingness to travel. We look forward to continuing to make your dog’s visit friendly every time. 🐾
We are proud to be locally owned!
What does that mean?
For every dollar spent at a small business, $0.68 stays in the community.
Corporate chains cannot replicate that.
When you bring your pet to us, you’re not just getting exceptional, personalized care, you’re investing in the neighborhood we all call home.
That means supporting local jobs, local families and a clinic that truly knows your pet by name. 🐾
We don’t see your furry family members as a number. We see them as the beloved companions they are and we treat them that way at every single visit.
Thank you for choosing to shop local, think local and trust local. We are so grateful to be YOUR neighborhood veterinary clinic. 🙏

Today is National Pet Fire Safety Day 🐾🔥
Emergencies can happen without warning and our pets are counting on us to be prepared. Taking a few simple steps today can make all the difference when it matters most.
Here are some essential tips to keep your furry family members safe:
✅ Build a "go kit" for each pet including a carrier, leash, food, water, bowls and any medications they need.
✅ Plan your evacuation route in advance and identify pet-friendly shelters or hotels along the way.
✅ Keep several weeks' worth of your pet's medications stocked and easy to grab.
✅ Make sure your pet is microchipped; it's the best chance of being reunited if you get separated.
✅ Place a pet alert sticker on your front door or window so first responders know animals are inside.
✅ Never leave pets unattended during high fire risk conditions. If it's not safe for you, it's not safe for them.
Preparedness saves lives.
Take a few minutes today to review your emergency plan and make sure your pets are part of it. 💛
