When you're accustomed to gracing the podiums of your local events it takes some courage to go test yourself against the nation's best. And that's exactly what five of our members did last weekend at the USA Triathlon National Championships in Milwaukee last weekend. We also sponsored a team for the first ever Mixed Relay Triathlon Nationals (where a team of four each complete a mini-tri). Congrats!

Kicking off a weekend when too much triathlon will be barely enough, Mina finished 5th F50-54 at the Nationals Draft-Legal Sprint triathlon this morning in Milwaukee. Mina lives in Berkeley and is self-coached but regularly joins the squad for group workouts and takes advantage of our specialized swim coaching services. We have a record five athletes racing Nationals this year over the 3-day event. Watch this space for all the action!

Hana Declerck cemented her position at the top of our ProAm Ironman Series with 2nd in the F25-29 age group at the Boise 70.3 in hot, difficult conditions. Next up for Hana, Nice World 70.3 Championships.

TCMTriSquad has selected four of its members to represent in the very first Mixed Team Relay at the USAT Nationals in Milwaukee in August. In a format used at the Olympics and usually reserved for professionals Mina, John, Katie and Yichen will each complete a mini-triathlon (225 m swim, 4.3 km bike, and 0.8 km run) before tagging their team mate for the next triathlon. We love the team aspect of triathlon and thank those making the trip to Nationals to represent our squad!
