Scotts Valley Sports Complex (SVSC) is a 100% volunteer based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, committed to building a state-of-the-art sports stadium.
Due to lack of adequate facilities, SVHS is currently unable to host sporting events such as track, water polo, and swimming. Field shut downs, due to poor drainage, frequently limit home games and practices for football, lacrosse, and soccer. When the school was first built in 1999, funds ran dry before the athletic facilities could be completed. Since opening, SVHS has been consistently underfun
ded and has focused on channeling every dollar into academic excellence. SVHS has award-winning teachers who guide students towards earning International Baccalaureate
certificates and diplomas. In 2013, SVHS was honored as a California Distinguished High School 2013. Some other achievements include Newsweek's Top 5% National High School, gold medal status in the US News
'Best High School' national rating, California Businesses for Educational Excellence Scholar School, and
the highest Academic Performance Index (API) scores of all non-charter schools grade 9-12 in Santa Cruz County. It is time for the athletic offerings at SVHS rise to a level befitting our academic standards. Completion of
the SVSC project will transform the unfinished campus at SVHS into one of the finest sports and educational
facilities in the county. This facility will serve every student within the district as well as the greater community. The SVSC committee has been working for several years on the necessary reports, permits, and negotiations to ensure that this project moves forward without delay. We are dedicated to continuing our work so that every student, member of this community, and generations to come, may have the opportunity to use and enjoy this spectacular sports complex. SVSC has received full support of the Scotts Valley Unified School District with the planning and construction of this project.
