You still have time to join an important discussion on Women in Policing and Venue Security on Tuesday, October 8, at 10 am Pacific.
Cities are increasingly recognizing the value of women in nighttime police units and venue security. The traditional image of a “burly bouncer” is being replaced by a new standard that emphasizes excellent communication skills and de-escalation techniques.
The 30x30 Initiative, co-founded by Ivonne Roman, highlights that women police officers tend to use less excessive force and are involved in fewer lawsuits.
This forum will explore the benefits of recruiting more women into security and policing roles. Learn more https://sociablecity.org/trendspotting
