TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, GREETING:
Know ye, That for and in consideration of the sum of Six 82 1/2/100 Dollars paid into the Office of the Entry-taker of Henderson County, and entered on the 11th day of October 1846, pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of said State, passed on the 17th day of November 1845 by No. 57, THERE IS GRANTED by the said State of Tennessee, unto
Micajah Scott, a certain tract or parcel of land, containing Two hundred and nineteen acres, by survey, bearing date the 17th day of October, 1846, lying in said county, in Range 7, Section 7, beginning at a small chesnut, a hickory and 3 Spanish oak pointers, the S.E. corner of Reserve No. 3723, runs North 51 poles to a stake, a post-oak and 2 black-oak pointers, thence East 128 poles to a large white-oak, a hickory and black-oak pointers, thence South 140 poles to a stake, a post-oak and black-oak pointers in the line of Reserve No. — thence West 43 poles to a stake, 3 post-oaks and 3 black-oak pointers, a corner of the same, thence South 22 poles to a stake, 2 small hickorys and 2 black-oak pointers, a corner of the same, thence West 165 poles to a poplar, hickory and 3 poplar pointers, in the line of Augustus's Reserve No. 4157, thence North 34 poles to a small hickory, a blackgum, a black-oak and chesnut pointers, its N.E. corner, thence West 150 poles to a stake, a red-oak and chesnut pointers, in the line of Wiley Scott's Reserve No. 3722, thence North 48 poles to a dogwood, a white-oak and hickory pointers in the line of Reserve No. 3073, thence East 45 poles to a stake, a dogwood and 3 post-oak pointers, its S.E. corner, thence North 53 poles to a dogwood, sassafras, dogwood and black-oak pointers, the S.W. corner of Reserve No. 3723, thence East 185 poles to the beginning.
With the hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land, with its appurtenances, to the said Micajah Scott and his heirs forever.
In witness whereof, Aaron V. Brown, Governor of the State of Tennessee, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed, at Nashville, on the 10th day of May in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Seven, and of the Independence of the United States the 71st.
