Scottdale Early Learning’s Back-to-School Bash was about more than supplies. It was about connection, community, and family! 💙💚

Nearly 150 children, parents, and community members came together for a day filled with resources, family engagement, and fun activities from our wonderful partners, including DeKalb NCNW Section, National Coalition of 100 Black Women - Stone Mountain/Lithonia Chapter, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, Easterseals North Georgia, Inc., DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department, DeKalb County Board of Health, Parents as Teachers National Center, Babies Can't Wait, ATL Ink and Imagination Face Painting, and Everlasting Memories.
Families also had the opportunity to meet our new CEO, Dr. Leah Skinner.
DeKalb County Commissioner Chakira Johnson distributed STEAM kits, and Commissioner Dr. LaDena Bolton shared remarks about Scottdale Early Learning’s lasting impact in the community.
The response from our families was clear: this was something special. We’re excited to announce that the Back-to-School Bash will become an annual event! 🎉
