Ben Guidry vs Kyler Griffin

Two highly experienced young competitors meet at GSF 5 in a matchup between proven wrestling and tournament-tested skill.

Representing Acadiana Jiu-Jitsu, Ben Guidry is a grey belt with a 1-0 GSF record. In his promotional debut, Guidry displayed excellent wrestling, strong back control, and a constant threat of the rear-naked choke. Already a very experienced competitor, Ben returns looking to build on an impressive first performance.

Standing across from him is Kyler Griffin.

Representing Hunter MMA, Griffin is a white belt who has already built an impressive competition résumé for his age. A multiple-time ADCC and AGF gold medalist, Kyler brings extensive tournament experience and has proven he can perform consistently against quality competition.

Two young athletes with experience well beyond their years.

One has already impressed on the GSF stage. The other arrives with a collection of tournament gold medals and something to prove.

Dominick Pizzalato returns for his fourth appearance under the Groundworks Submission Fighting banner. Representing Vida Jiu-Jitsu, Pizzalato owns a 1-2 GSF record, but his record tells only part of the story. Every time he’s stepped onto the GSF mats, he’s delivered exciting, competitive performances, earning a reputation as a competitor who’s always willing to put on a show.

Standing across from him is Tommy Jeff.

Representing Acadiana Jiu-Jitsu, Jeff made an unforgettable GSF debut by submitting a purple belt with an armlock while still competing as a blue belt at GSF 3. Since that breakout performance, he’s earned his purple belt and now returns to the GSF stage looking to prove he belongs among the division’s best.
