The work FBI Charlotte & the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department do every day is making a major impact. In a recent joint operation, approximately 70 pounds of suspected narcotics were seized before reaching the streets, likely saving lives. Special recognition to CMPD K9 Bishop whose invaluable work helped make our streets safer. This seizure is part of Operation Summer Heat, an initiative to crush violent crime in our communities.

Week 2 for Handler & Instructor Course #1781! 🐾

These teams are continuing to make outstanding progress, building on the basics and sharpening their skills every single day. Every day brings new challenges, new lessons, and another step toward becoming stronger, more confident K-9 teams. Our goal is to train every team to the highest level attainable through realistic, proven training that prepares them for the job.

If your agency is considering adding a K-9 to your department this year, now is the time to start planning! We currently have single and dual-purpose canines available, including German Shorthaired Pointers, Dutch Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, and German Shepherds.

We have two Handler Courses remaining in 2026 - one in September and one in November. If you’re planning to attend either course, contact us soon to reserve your spot and schedule a visit to test available K9s. We’d love the opportunity to help you find the right partner for your department! 🐾

K-9 Riggins officially graduated from our Obedience Program a few weeks back 🎉🐾

We’re incredibly proud of all the progress this team has made over the past several weeks. Riggins is now moving on to the next phase of his training as an Explosives Detection K-9, and we can’t wait to watch him continue to develop.

Join us August 31st thru September 2nd in Marshville, North Carolina for an in-depth 3 day E-Collar Seminar taught by expert trainer, Ryan Leggett.

Whether you’re new to e-collar training or looking to sharpen your skills, this course will cover the fundamentals and beyond, including:

TOP DOG TUESDAY 💪🏻

After a subject fled on foot following a vehicle pursuit, K9 Duko with the Holly Police Department was deployed to track the suspect from the last known point through an open yard and into a wooded area. Within approximately 3 minutes, Duko located the subject hiding in thick brush. Upon seeing Duko, the suspect immediately surrendered without incident.

This is exactly why consistent, realistic training matters. Outstanding work by this team! 👏🐕
