Special thanks to Sylvan’s Heights and Professor Darrell Stover for designing an extraordinary day of bird watching and enlightening our young STEMIsts about African American scientists who specialize in the study of native birds across the USA in celebration of Black History month. We will be here on Saturday with our STEM Scientists! See you all there!
Join us this Saturday at 9:30 am for a beginner-friendly bird walk! This program is guided by Darrell Stover, a lifelong birder, naturalist, poet and head of the NC Science Museums Grant Program, with the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Take a leisurely walk along park trails starting in the front field and then meandering through forest and wetland habitats looking for wild, wintering feathered friends.
