Scotland Neck Elementary Leadership Academy

Parents and guardians, the students are having an absolute incredible and engaging educational experience at Everetts Elementary this summer! They are shining so bright that we’ve decided we can't stop here. We are going to double the number of students from SNELA in our Summer STEM Camp next year! It was so exciting to see all of our students today.

Halifax County Schools is continuously monitoring weather conditions across our area as thunderstorms move into the region this afternoon.

At this time, all summer camp sites will dismiss at their regularly scheduled times, and buses will operate on their normal schedules.

The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide updates if any changes become necessary.

Please use caution during afternoon travel.

Our staff made the difference by creating a culture of high expectations. The Wall of Fame serves as a lasting reminder that greatness is achieved when hard work, determination, and teamwork come together. Summer Camp Bus Information

Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate summer school bus routes. Please remember that bus arrival times may vary due to weather, road conditions, or student loading times.

Families are encouraged to use the Here Comes the Bus app to track their student’s bus in real time during summer school.

Also, Friday is the last day to sign up for summer camp. Please reach out to your camp coordinators for additional information: Sanchia Dewar, elementary; JoAnn Pearson, middle; Dr. Tristan Hunter, Northwest; and Shamika Neville, Southeast.

Summer School Families,

This is an important transportation message from Halifax County Schools.

Summer school bus routes will begin tomorrow. Please have your student at their assigned bus stop at least 10 minutes before the estimated pickup time, as bus arrival times may vary due to traffic, weather, road conditions, and student loading times.

We would also like to remind you that Here Comes the Bus will be active during summer school, allowing parents and guardians to track their student's bus in real time.

Additionally, students who are not currently on the transportation list will be permitted to ride the bus home tomorrow afternoon. If you have questions regarding transportation, please contact your school's office.

As a reminder, Summer School will dismiss at 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and at 1:00 p.m. on Fridays. Please plan accordingly for afternoon transportation and drop-off.
