8th Grade Clap Out 🎉👏
A rite of passage for our 8th graders as they take their final stroll around Terrill. Each class reacts a little differently — this year there were more smiles than tears as they moved on to the next chapter. 😊✨

Huge congratulations to Ms. Cagnassola (5th Grade) and Ms. Power (Classroom Aide) on their retirements from SPF — bittersweet celebrations and well deserved! 🎓💐

Sorry we were a little late — lots of 8th grade content to share! 📚

French 🇫🇷 Our 8th grade French students visited our 5th graders in early June to support and encourage them in speaking French. What a sweet exchange — both grades practiced conversation together. 💬❤️ Check out photos from our classroom visit! 📸

Italian 🇮🇹 8th grade Italian created fun commercials (just before the end of the school year) for everyday products. Traveling this summer? Notice how ads differ across cultures — sometimes funny or surprising! 😂✈️ Watch our students’ takes (with some edits for the Terrill gram) on international health products: “P per Bella, Compri Alto-P oggi!” and “Tropicale Stomaco.” 🎬🧴

6th Grade Disabilities Podcast 🎧✨
Through small book clubs, they learned about characters with disabilities and used author stories + research to create thoughtful informative podcasts. 🎙️ They wrote scripts, rehearsed, and practiced through many takes. It wasn’t always easy, but their persistence 💪 paid off and the result is something to be proud of. 👏 ❤️🧡💛

Class of 2031 — Declaration of Independence 🇺🇸
Big thanks to Ms. Hulick’s classes and our Social Studies team for preparing students to read excerpts from the Declaration of Independence. By studying this founding document, our 7th graders explored our colonial ancestors’ passion for freedom and the grievances that led them to declare independence. 📝✨
Team Fire read aloud passages from the Declaration — a memorable way to learn as we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States. 🎉🇺🇸

8th Grade Recognition Night — Pt. 1 / Retirement Farewell to Ms. Ana Cagnassola 🎓🌅
What a night! One-evening postponement, but totally worth the wait — perfect sunset, clear skies, and a comfortable evening. Dr. Holloway welcomed Terrill families to Recognition Night, and Dr. Mast and Dr. Hynes welcomed the Class of 2030 to Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. Our Student Council President, Claire Ku, delivered a beautiful recognition speech. 👏
Special thanks to Ms. Ana Cagnassola — we honored her retirement with a moving speech by her former student, Nolyn R. Thank you, Ms. Cagnassola, for believing in your students and helping them grow more confident because of you. 💛🍎

We’ve reached the final days of the 2025–2026 school year. Some students have already headed to sleep-away camp; others are off to their summer destinations. Whether you’re here for the last two days or already on break, Terrill wishes you a safe and happy summer! 🌴✨

Our summer bulletin board is up — big thanks to our rising 8th graders (current 7th Grade, Class of 2031) for their help! 🧑‍🎓👏 In 7th grade Social Studies, students study civics, especially the two founding documents: the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. This year’s project added a twist — instead of reciting the Preamble, students read the Declaration of Independence, line by line honoring the 250th anniversary of America. 🇺🇸📜 The video was inspiring so we put this America 250 theme on our bulletin board featuring the Grade 7 - Team Fire.

From the Class of 2033 to the Class of 2030 Last week, our 5th-grade classes left a mark as the 8th Grade students were away on their end-of-year adventure. Dr. Holloway led us to chalk the 8th Grade Entrance with good luck messages for the journey to high school. Best wishes to Terrill’s 2026 Class, on the road along Route 2026! 🌟
