and a Holly Hill Foray

I love getting people OUTDOORS
To explore and discover

We found so many fungi and and manage to share in the bounty
Maitake (Hen of the woods )
Laetiporus sulfuris(Chicken of the woods)
Hericium americanum (Bears tooth )
Bondarzewia berkeleyi
(Berkeley’s polypore)

Oooooooo all this rain……you KNOW fungi are popping!

Join me this weekend on two Forays

One is Free! And sponsored by Norwell Public Library sign up on their website 2 hours in Norwell woods (this was postponed from last weekend)
Saturday October 3

And while you’re on the Library site, They have requested a follow up lecture on safe Foraging Part II , focusing on mushrooms/fungi
This is free as well ….

Sunday October 4
Holly Hill Farm has 140 acres to explore and we always find some great fungi
Proceeds go to maintaining their educational programming !

For Tomorrow nites forage lecture

Found about 75 lbs on
3 different trees but only carried out 25 lbs ..

Sharing is Caring ,
already distributed to friends and left most of it for the wildlife that needs it

Fall is coming, leaves are starting to turn , acorns dropping ..cooler nights to sleep with windows wide open
Time to get outdoors and welcome the change in season..
Gearing up for teachings of nature
I’m lecturing and leading two forages this September
through Norwell Public Library - these are free to attend but need to Register through the library / events page

I always suggest signing up early for the forages as they are always limited in
attendance space.

Getting Ready for the

Enjoying the Outdoors
Despite the heat…..
New Hampshire Foraging with my friends such a treat.. always learn new mushrooms and making deeper connection with friends ..
Swimming in fast moving cold streams invigorates more than the physical and connects with nature in an energetic way…

Locally our fungi world is finally “popping” due to the much needed rains..
Inspiring me to get back out in the unfamiliar places to seek new and renew connections to the outdoors …

Less than a week to my Wood fired Oven cooking workshop/dinner
Bringing special treats to the table ….
Locally foraged Boletus Edulis ( North American version of Porcini)

Headed to the Mountains of New Hampshire this weekend to forage mushrooms and wild blueberry with a great group of Mush friends to share food knowledge and friendship
