This week I had the joy of spending time with a few Puddle Jumpers alumni. Moments like this fill my heart with so much gratitude. I feel incredibly blessed that so many of the families I cared for over the years have stayed connected.

It doesn’t seem that long ago that these amazing kids were my “little puddle jumpers,” exploring the outdoors, learning, laughing, and discovering the world together. Now they’re in middle school and high school — and I’m left wondering how time could possibly move so quickly.

After more than 30 years of caring for young children, one thing I know for sure is this: nature provides so many educational for children.

In every season, I’ve seen children grow stronger, calmer, more confident, and more curious when they are given daily time outside.

Solving problems, managing big emotions, and connecting with their friends in nature helps children to grow and expand their curiosity of the world around them.

With the right clothing, there truly is no bad weather — only new opportunities to explore, learn, and grow.

Fresh air, freedom to move, and a connection to nature aren’t extras for children.
They are essential. 🌿

Our Fall program has started and our little ones are off to a wonderful journey!🍁

Our toddlers and babies are exploring through art🖍️(finger paints and tiny masterpieces!), music 🎵 (singing, clapping, playing instruments, and lots of dancing!), baking🍪(yes little hands help with measuring and mixing!) and of course, lots if outdoor play in nature!🐝🦋🐞

Everyday is filled with curiosity, discovery, and fun as they build their confidence and skills! We’re so excited to see what this year brings for them and us!!💛
