We said farewell to one of our classmates today. I first met Hoy Baker, Jr. when I was in my early teens. We went to church together at Pulaski Baptist Church where most of the "Pulaski Gang" attended. Church was more of a social occasion in those days. Afterwards we'd all get together for a game of baseball or maybe riding motor scooters on the gravel roads. We were a pretty tight bunch. It's a distant past we look at when we put away our friends but, in another way, the memories seem as fresh as yesterday. Well, Junior. Bye for now. We'll catch up with you a little farther down the road.
