Generation Red would like to congratulate Ariah Plaza on completing the 6th grade with Generation Red's Homeschool Program!!
From day one, Ariah changed my life tremendously, as she is the daughter of Halona Plaza, one of my very first students at the beginning of my classroom teaching career. Ariah made me the teacher who is now teaching my student's student. 😃 An amazing educator moment we can only hope for as we set out to help teach and guide the next generations.
My motivation to become an educator came from growing up with my peers. I wanted us to have great educators in our community for our children. It was the time of equal opportunity to pursue your dreams. I pursued my path, and upon completion, my first teaching job was at my hometown school, with a class full of my peers' children. We had made it, and I got to be the best I could be for them and their parents, my peers, e numudoo'e.
I'm so proud of that first group of students and how they have grown and applied themselves. To Halona, for remembering the impact we had on each other's learning experience, and for thinking of me when deciding on your child's education. A true blessing and honor!! Aho 🙏❤️
Beyond the background that brought Ariah and me together, Ariah completed an equine studies class through Generation Red's Homeschool Program, earning a middle school elective credit. Ariah is driven to be an excelling student athlete, and this year, has made All-Stars in her softball league!!
Huge congratulations, Ariah! 🥳 Enjoy your summer, and let's keep the momentum rolling into next school year!
