Building the workforce our region needs takes strong partnerships between education, industry and community leaders.

Proud to see Chancellor Dr. Kristine Strickland representing Fletcher today during the Workforce Panel at the 2026 Bayou Business Summit, sharing how the College works alongside business and industry to develop responsive training, prepare students for high-demand careers and strengthen our regional workforce.

Dr. Strickland joined Nicholls State University President Dr. Jay Clune and South Louisiana Community College Chancellor Dr. Vincent June for the discussion, moderated by Jessica Vallelungo of Louisiana Works.

At Fletcher, workforce development is more than part of our mission. It is a commitment to creating opportunities for our students while meeting the evolving needs of the communities and industries we serve.
