📣 WE’RE HIRING! PART-TIME DAYCARE CLOSER 🧸✨

The Little Learners Lounge is looking for a reliable, energetic & caring individual to join our team as a Part-Time Afternoon/Closing Assistant!

🗓 Start Date: Monday, September 14
⏰ Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:00–5:30 PM
📍 Schoharie, NY

What your afternoon will look like:

🚌 3:00–4:30 PM — After-School Program
You’ll spend the first part of your shift working primarily with our school-age kiddos—helping with afternoon routines, snacks, activities, supervision, and keeping the group engaged!

🧸 4:30–5:30 PM — Closing Support
As our numbers begin to drop for the day, you’ll transition into helping throughout the daycare with all age groups, assisting staff with supervision, end-of-day routines, cleaning/organization, and getting our program ready to close for the evening.

We’re looking for someone who is:
✨ Dependable and punctual
✨ Patient, positive, and genuinely enjoys working with children
✨ Comfortable working with a variety of ages
✨ Able to stay engaged and actively supervise children
✨ A team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed
✨ Comfortable helping with cleaning and end-of-day responsibilities
✨ Looking for consistent part-time weekday hours

This could be a great position for a college student, education/childcare student, parent looking for a few afternoon hours, or someone who simply loves working with kids! ❤️

Experience working with children is preferred, but we’re most interested in finding someone who is reliable, responsible, kind, and a great fit with our team and kiddos.

We had the BEST time celebrating our sweet Marley turning the big FIVE! 🥳💕 Five is such a BIG birthday, and we’re so happy we got to celebrate another special year with you!

And of course… a Marley birthday means we ALL get excited because we know what’s coming… 🤤🍦🎂

Mom’s HOMEMADE ICE CREAM CAKE!!! 🙌🏼😂

Every year, Marley’s mama makes the most delicious homemade ice cream cake to share with all of us at daycare, and let me tell you… we look forward to this deliciousness EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. 😂😍 It has officially become one of our favorite birthday traditions!

☀️🌈 SUMMER CAMP ADVENTURES —LAST WEEK! 🌈☀️

How is it possible that we only have 3 WEEKS LEFT?! 😭 This summer is absolutely flying by, and we are soaking up every minute with this incredible group of kiddos! 💛

🦒 MONDAY — Animal Land!
We kicked off our week with a trip to Animal Land in Gloversville! 🐒🐐🦓 We spent the day exploring, checking out all of the animals, and enjoying another adventure together!

🏖️ TUESDAY — Glimmerglass State Park!
Nothing says summer like a beautiful day at the lake! ☀️🌊 We spent Tuesday at Glimmerglass State Park swimming, playing, exploring, and making the most of a gorgeous summer day with friends!

🎬🏊 WEDNESDAY — Slow Down Wednesday!
After two busy adventure days, we slowed things down a little with a morning at the movies 🍿🎥 followed by an afternoon at the pool! The perfect midweek combination of relaxing, swimming, and FUN!

🚒🔥 THURSDAY — Firefighter Adventure Day!
Thursday was SUCH a cool experience at the Museum of Firefighting in Hudson! This place was packed with hands-on, interactive activities that kept our campers learning and engaged from start to finish!

👨‍🚒 We dressed up in real firefighter gear
🔥 Built a pretend fire
🛑 Practiced STOP, DROP & ROLL while wearing a fire vest
🚨 Completed an obstacle course simulating escaping a burning building AND rescuing a dummy
🐕 Met working dogs trained to assist with missions and watched them respond to commands from their handlers!

This was one of those field trips where the kids were having so much fun they didn’t even realize how much they were learning! Such an awesome experience! 🚒❤️

💦 FRIDAY — ZOOM FLUME!
And of course… what better way to end our week than ZOOM FLUME?! 🌊☀️ It was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day, we had some new faces join our crew, and we had a BLAST from beginning to end! Water slides, sunshine, friends, laughs & memories — the perfect Friday! 🥰

One of my favorite things about this summer has been watching this group together. Everyone gets along so well, everyone is included, and we truly make the best of every single day together. 💕 These kids have made this summer SO much fun!

It’s hard to believe we only have 3 weeks of camp left! 😭 We’re definitely not slowing down yet, though… we have plenty more adventures and memories to make!

Here’s to another week of exploring, learning, laughing, swimming, adventuring & making the BEST summer memories together! ☀️🌈💦

🌟 July Character Award: GROWTH 🌟

Congratulations to our July Character Award recipient, Robert! 💙🏆

This month’s award recognizes one word that perfectly describes Robert’s journey… Growth!

After transitioning from our downstairs classroom into our preschool classroom upstairs a few months ago, Robert has absolutely blossomed. We have watched him grow in so many ways, and his hard work has not gone unnoticed.

He has been using his big boy words to communicate his needs, expressing himself with his teachers instead of relying on tantrums, building meaningful friendships with his classmates, and developing wonderful communication skills with his peers. Watching his confidence grow has been one of the highlights of the summer!

🌟 June Character Award: BRAVERY 🌟

A huge congratulations to our June Character Award recipient, Natalie! 💜🏆

Over the past several weeks, Natalie has shown incredible bravery as she worked through some big changes to help make drop-off time a more positive experience. Change can be hard, especially for our little ones, but Natalie has faced those challenges with courage and has made amazing progress. We are so proud of how far she has come!

We’ve also been seeing her become more engaged with her friends during the day, which has been so exciting to watch. While we’re still encouraging participation during circle time, meals, and our hands-on learning activities, we’re seeing small victories that deserve to be celebrated. Every child grows at their own pace, and Natalie is reminding us that progress isn’t always measured in giant leaps—sometimes it’s the little steps that make the biggest difference.

To celebrate her accomplishment, Natalie received:

✨ We offer a safe, fun, and engaging after-school program where children can unwind, play, complete homework, enjoy healthy snacks, and participate in enriching activities with friends.

🚌 Transportation Available
• Middleburgh Central School District (additional transportation fee applies)
• Berne-Knox-Westerlo (BKW) School District (additional transportation fee applies)
• Schoharie Central School District – Bus drops off directly at our program!

📍 Spots are limited and fill quickly!

✅ $100 non-refundable enrollment fee is required to reserve your child’s spot.

🌲💦 A day well spent at Max V. Shaul State Park! 🎣🥾

Some of the best childhood memories are made outdoors… and this day was full of them. ❤️

We spent the day swimming to cool off, casting fishing lines in hopes of the next big catch, hiking the trails, searching for wildlife, skipping rocks, and exploring everything nature had to offer. There wasn’t a screen in sight—just fresh air, muddy shoes, curious minds, and endless adventure. 🌿🐸🐟

These are the experiences we strive to give our campers: opportunities to unplug, explore, build confidence, and discover just how much fun the great outdoors can be.

🐴 Mondays are for the barn… and we wouldn’t have it any other way! 🤎

Gosses Hosses has quickly become one of the highlights of our summer! Each visit brings something new—from learning how to safely groom, saddle, and ride the horses to climbing aboard the wagon for a ride around the farm. And, of course, the kids’ favorite part… getting creative by dressing up the horses with fun themes and accessories! 🎀👒😂

These experiences are about so much more than riding. They’re building confidence, responsibility, patience, compassion, and a deep appreciation for these incredible animals—all while making unforgettable memories with friends. 🐎❤️

We are so grateful to Gosses Hosses for giving our campers such a unique, hands-on experience that they look forward to every other Monday. We already can’t wait for our next visit! ☀️

Nothing beats a day at the fair with your favorite crew! ❤️ From meeting farm animals and exploring the exhibits to enjoying the rides, games, delicious fair treats, and all the excitement in between, our day was packed with smiles from start to finish.
