🚒🔥 A FIRED-UP WEEK OF LEARNING AT THE LITTLE LEARNERS LOUNGE! 🔥🚒

Last week, in celebration of Fire Prevention & Safety Week, our Little Learners had a VERY special visit from the Gallupville Fire Department! 👨‍🚒❤️

Our little firefighters-in-training got an up-close look at a REAL fire truck, met some of our local heroes, and learned about the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe! 🚒🧯

From the excitement on their faces to the endless curiosity and questions, it was such a fun and memorable hands-on learning experience! ❤️

A HUGE thank you to the amazing firefighters who took time out of their busy schedules to bring the fire truck to us, share their knowledge, and make our littles feel so special! Experiences like these are what make learning come to life, and we are so grateful for the wonderful community helpers who make them possible! 🥰

🍦🥤 NO SCHOOL = FIELD TRIP DAY! 🥤🍦

This Friday, October 9th, our school-age kiddos are off from school, so we’re opening up a special Field Trip Day at The Little Learners Lounge! 🎉

🏡 Morning: We’ll spend the morning at the daycare with friends, activities & play!

🍽️ Lunch: Lunch will be served before we head out.

🍦 12:00–3:00 PM: We’re off to Forget Me Not Soda Shoppe for an afternoon field trip! 🥤🍨

It’ll be a fun day for our school-age crew to spend together while school is closed! 💛

🎨👣 MESSY ART = THE BEST ART! 👣🎨

This morning’s adventure was an absolute BLAST! 🤩

We took our creativity OUTSIDE, flattened giant cardboard boxes across the ground, added some paint…and then let those little feet get to work! 🦶🎨

Walking, running, stomping, sliding — our toddlers became the paintbrushes! 😂 Then we brought out sponges, brushes, boxes and more and let them take over from there, creating their own masterpieces however they wanted. 🖌️✨

And the best part?! They were completely engaged for the ENTIRE HOUR. 🙌

No fancy activity needed — just cardboard, paint, fresh air and the freedom to explore. 💛

This is what learning looks like at The Little Learners Lounge: messy, hands-on, child-led and SO much fun! 🥰

From 3 months old to 3 years old! 🥹🤍

There’s something so incredibly special about being trusted with someone’s baby when they’re only 3 months old, and then getting the privilege of watching them grow year after year.

We knew them when they were tiny enough to spend their days in our arms. We fed their bottles, rocked them to sleep, celebrated their firsts… and somewhere along the way, those tiny babies became these two big kids. 😭

When you do childcare, they don’t just come through your program. They become part of your story, and you become a little part of theirs.

We’ve loved these two since they were babies, and getting to watch them grow up has been one of those beautiful reminders of just how quickly these years pass.

The days can feel long, but the years?
The years go by in the blink of an eye. 🥹

From 3 months old to now… what an absolute privilege it has been to be part of their childhood. 🤍

Don’t blink. 😭💕

Today marks 4 years since I first opened the doors to The Little Learners Lounge ❤️ And looking back at where this all started compared to where we are today honestly feels a little surreal.

I started SO small, right in the comfort of my own home. Just a dream, a whole lot of faith, and a vision for creating a place where children could learn, grow, feel safe, and be loved.

Then life pivoted- I packed up everything I had built, relocated, and essentially started all over again. I went through the entire licensing process AGAIN, rebuilt my program in a new space, and kept pushing forward even when I couldn’t fully see where all of it was leading me.

At the time, I don’t think I realized that I wasn’t starting over.

I was growing. ❤️🌈

And somehow, through every change, challenge, setback, stressful day, leap of faith, and “what am I doing?!” moment 😂… I landed exactly where I was always meant to be.

Wow. I didn’t see it then, but I can see it so clearly now. 🥹

Over these four years, we have rocked babies to sleep, celebrated first steps and first words, potty trained toddlers, prepared little ones for kindergarten, celebrated birthdays and milestones, wiped countless tears, given even more hugs, made messes, laughed until our stomachs hurt, and created memories I hope these kiddos carry with them long after they leave us.

What started as a small daycare inside my home became something so much bigger than I ever imagined.

It became a community.
It became a family.
It became The Little Learners Lounge. ❤️

To every family who has trusted me and my staff with your babies over these last four years — THANK YOU. There is no greater responsibility than being trusted with someone’s child, and I will never take that lightly.

To every staff member who has helped pour love, patience, energy, and heart into this program — thank you for helping build what LLL is today.

And to every little learner who has walked through our doors… you are the reason behind all of it.

Four years ago, I was running a little daycare out of my home.

Today, I get to stand back, look at everything we’ve built, and think…

Wow. We really did this. 🥹❤️

And the craziest part?

I still feel like we’re just getting started!

🔴🟡🟢🔵 GUESS THE DOTS! 🟣🟠🔴
In honor of national dot day……

Today at daycare, Ms Tanya turned a simple bottle of M&M’s into the cutest little guessing game! 🍬🍼

She filled a baby bottle with colorful M&M “dots,” counting each and every one, and then let the kiddos take their best guess at how many were hiding inside! 🌈

The challenge: Who could guess the closest number WITHOUT going over?! 🤔

We had guesses flying, lots of excitement, and one very lucky winner…

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS, OLIVIA! 🎉

Olivia came the closest without going over, which meant she got to take the entire M&M-filled baby bottle home! 🍫🍼🥳

Such a simple activity turned into so much fun — counting, guessing, number recognition, and of course… a little friendly competition! 🫶

Way to go, Olivia! We hope you enjoy your sweet prize! 🏆
