Morning Star Learning Center has proudly served Schoharie and neighbooring communities for 19 years. We are very proud of our commitment to the nurturing education we've had with each and every one of our 2500 + children, over 500 employment oppertunities, the dreams, the excitement, the dissapointments and the laughter that we've all endured, phew, it's been quite the ride!!!
Now it's time to hand over the torch and retire. Chris and I just welcomed our first grandchild and it is time to move on to the next chapter - Thank you to our community for all the years if support, respect, and gratitude! Stay Happy 😊❤

Assistant Teacher job responsibilities include:
-Caring and surpervision for children ages 3 months - 12 years
-Assisting lead teacher create and follow lesson plans
-Coompleting necessary paperwork (daily sheets, attendance, health logs, etc)
-Cleaning of classrooms regularly
-Changing diapers/assisting with potty training
-Be kind and knowledgeable in dealing with children, staff, and families

Lead Teacher job responsibilities include:
-Develop and post classroom rules and daily routine/schedule
-Develop Individual Educational Goals each month for each child
-Communicate with Assistant Teacher
-Care for and supervise children
-Communicate with families
-And more...

This week is fire safety week. It's so important to teach our kids, not only how to prevent fires, but what to do in the event of a fire 🔥🧯🚒

Please sign this petition, as our babies do not belong in masks. There are many different reasons as to why it is not safe; we need to be able to see each child’s face, make sure there is nothing in their mouth, ensure they are not choking, and above all, it is very unsanitary as the mask goes in their mouth and/or their snot gets on the mask. At this age, the children are learning many different things, it is important they are able to see our face and mouth just as it is important we see theirs. Let’s drop this mandate; let our children be children!

We're sad to see the summer go, but so excited for our school year to start 🎒✏🍎 Next week begins our academic "school year". Welcome/information packets were sent home with all children. Parents- please fill out, sign, and return any required paperwork. Thank you!
