The College of Biomedical Equipment Technology (CBET)’s HTM Training Solutions Dental Bootcamp is back this fall! This two-week, hands-on training program gives technicians practical experience with the equipment and systems found throughout today’s dental clinics. Participants will work with dental chairs, delivery systems, compressors, vacuum systems, sterilizers, and other essential equipment while building skills in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

The program is a strong fit for technicians who are new to dental equipment service, BMETs expanding into dental systems, and organizations looking to strengthen the technical skills of their service teams.

Where will your BMET career take you next?

Linear accelerators are among the most specialized systems used in healthcare. Supporting these systems requires technical knowledge, precision, safety awareness, and an understanding of how equipment performance supports radiation therapy and cancer care. The College of Biomedical Equipment Technology (CBET)’s HTM Training Solutions Linear Accelerator Technician Education & Training, offered in partnership with Radiology Oncology Systems, Inc. (ROS) and Linax Technologies Ltd, introduces learners to how linacs work, why they matter in cancer care, and the technical knowledge involved in supporting these systems.

For current BMET students and early-career technicians, linac education connects classroom and technical knowledge to real applications in radiation oncology. Exposure to these systems also helps students explore future opportunities in oncology support, specialized field service, and other advanced healthcare technology roles. For CBET alumni and working BMET professionals, the program provides an opportunity to expand beyond general biomedical equipment and build knowledge in linac operation, core subsystems, troubleshooting, quality assurance, and service readiness.

The College of Biomedical Equipment Technology (CBET) is happy to announce that Joe McBride has officially joined CBET as our new Biomedical Equipment Technician Instructor and Curriculum Developer with the HTM Training Solutions team!

Joe brings more than 16 years of experience in biomedical equipment technology, healthcare technology management, and military leadership. His U.S. Navy career includes extensive experience maintaining and troubleshooting medical equipment, leading biomedical maintenance operations, and mentoring technicians. He also served as a Technical Instructor at the Department of Defense Biomedical Equipment Technician School, where he delivered classroom and hands-on training, developed curriculum and laboratory exercises, and helped prepare the next generation of BMETs.

As our new Biomedical Equipment Technician Instructor and Curriculum Developer, Joe will support the development and delivery of HTM Training Solutions programs, with a primary focus on biomedical equipment maintenance and repair. He will provide hands-on, online, and hybrid instruction; assist with curriculum and lab development; support dental and other HTM technical programs; and help manage the readiness, organization, and serviceability of CBET’s technical training laboratories and equipment.
