We have had a tough week, and I know how much dance can help bring everyone back to center.

So we’re adding two pop‑up parties this weekend to give our students a chance to breathe, laugh, and move.

Shekoda Lowe will be hosting a Friday night party from 7:30-10pm and Linda will be hosting a line dance party on Saturday night from 7-10pm.

If you’ve been missing the floor, your friends, or just a moment of fun — we’ll be here, ready for you.

Great news!!! Power is back on at the studio! Freddy is hosting the ballroom dance party today from 2-5pm and classes will resume as usual tomorrow!

🏆 Chicagoland Dance Festival – August 21–22
Several of our instructors are competing, so we will not host a Friday party that weekend.

🎉 July at Second Street Dance Studio — Student Appreciation Month! 🎉

July is all about celebrating YOU, and we’re kicking things off with a month full of good food, good company, and good dancing.

We’re taking July 3rd off so everyone can enjoy the holiday weekend, but after that… it’s party time.

On July 10th, we’re throwing a Taco + Tequila Party — Chipotle catering, my famous margaritas, and a whole lot of summer energy. It’s going to be such a fun night.

Then on July 24, Jonathan and Katie are hosting a cozy Potluck Party. Bring something you love, try something new, and enjoy a laid‑back night with your dance family. Keep an eye out for a sign up sheet at the front desk.

Group classes are lighter this month, but the parties will keep everyone moving, laughing, and connecting.

Our Vintage Modern Social Dance Formation is also underway, and we’re still welcoming new students who want to jump in.

July is going to be a blast. Can’t wait to celebrate with you all.
