Our volunteers give a lot to the students at Rise High—and they get a lot back, too. 💙

Whether it's sharing their knowledge and expertise, building meaningful relationships, or witnessing students grow and succeed, our volunteers play an important role in the Rise High community.

Along the way, they become part of something special—a community dedicated to supporting and empowering young people.

This past year, our 10th graders were on the move—learning, exploring, and discovering new possibilities through visits to Union College , University at Albany , Velan Studios , and Belanger School of Nursing.

These experiences helped students connect classroom learning to future careers and opportunities. We can't wait to see where their journey takes them next as they return this September as our 11th-grade cohort! 🎓🚀

We're incredibly grateful to the Union Presbyterian Mission Fund at the First Reformed Church of Schenectady for their generous donation.

Their support will help cover the cost of meals at Rise High throughout the academic year, ensuring that students have access to the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

From all of us at Rise High, thank you for investing in our students and our mission.

🌎🐝 Today is World Environment Day!

At Rise High, environmental science isn't just something students read about—it's something they experience. Through hands-on investigations, field visits, and climate data analysis, students explore the environmental challenges shaping our world and discover how science can help address them.

We're proud to nurture curiosity, stewardship, and a deeper understanding of our planet every day.
